Study on IDEXX Legiolert™/Quanti-Tray®, MPN for L.pneumophila

Study found the IDEXX Legiolert/Quanti-Tray MPN method, gave on average higher counts of L. pneumophilia from 100 ml potable water and related samples when compared with the ISO 11731-2 membrane filtration method.

Pseudalert detects Pseudomonas aeruginosa at 1 CFU in either 100-ml or 250-ml water samples, and gives a confirmed result within 24 hours now specified in ‘The Microbiology of Drinking Water (MoDW) – Part 8 – Methods for the isolation and enumeration of Aeromonas and P. aeruginosa.
