ISO 24914:2026 – A New International Standard for LAMP Technology in Food Safety Testing

In January 2026, ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 34/SC 9 introduced the new international standard – ISO 24914:2026 Microbiology of the food chain – Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) for the detection of microorganisms and associated genetic markers – General requirements and definitions. This is the first international standard defining the application and general requirements for LAMP methods used to detect microorganisms in the food chain.

The standard applies to:

  • Products intended for human consumption
  • Products for feeding animals
  • Environmental samples in the area of food and feed production and handling
  • Samples from the primary production stage for the above items

Join Frédéric Martinez, Director of Scientific and Strategic Affairs, and Matt Bricknell, Professional Services Specialist, for a 45-minute educational webinar to introduce the new standard, share an overview of LAMP methods and discuss why this standard matters for the food testing industry.

This webinar will be presented in English with AI-generated closed caption translations available in French, German, Polish, Italian and Spanish.
