Michael Addidle, a clinical microbiologist at Pathlab Bay of Plenty, Tauranga in New Zealand has been writing a great blog covering all aspects of microbiology laboratory practice for a good few years now, if you don't already get his posts, it's well worth signing up for.

Now he has published a 210 page paperback book that covers concepts and opinions on the practice of diagnostic microbiology, available for purchase on-line from Amazon. We haven't read it yet but if the blog is anything to go by it'll be a useful 'think outside the box' tool.
