Results in Less Than 60 Minutes with Listeria Right Now™
Neogen’s Listeria Right Now™ environmental monitoring tool is a rapid, easy to use test for the detection of Listeria species in less than 60 minutes, with no enrichment required. This is particularly well adapted for the “Seek and Destroy process” as requested by FDA for Listeria monitoring in the environment. This means that no pathogens are present onsite, which can be a concern for manufacturers. The test is also destructive, again limiting risk of any cross-contamination due to pathogen enrichment. Listeria Right Now can be used in process control or as an outbreak response tool allowing you to perform corrective actions more quickly; which saves time when manufacturing.
Listeria Right Now, used in conjunction with our unique ANSR technology, works so quickly thanks to a technology that targets rRNA, which is present in much greater numbers than the traditional DNA target. An isothermal reaction causes the replication and amplification to occur at a constant rate instead of the normal thermal-cycling technology used in traditional PCR systems. This technology allows food production and processing facilities to seek and eliminate Listeria more quickly, which can reduce the risk of cross-contamination in food products - keeping consumers safe.
Listeria Right Now has AOAC approval for use with samples obtained from stainless steel, rubber, ceramic tile and plastic surfaces which adds another level of assurance to the food safety community. The test kit has also been validated by NSF International, and was the winner of the 2018 Innovation Award from the French organisation Carrefour des Fournisseurs de l’Industrie Agroalimentaire (CFIA).
Don’t just take our word for it, our customers say that Listeria Right Now is “a critical part of their internal Listeria monitoring programme allowing them to monitor sites on a daily basis and respond appropriately on the same day.” Quality Assurance Manager – New Zealand Health Food Producer
