SGL is proud to announce the successful completion of its new 300 kWp solar installation, which was finalised in July 2025 as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing it’s environmental impact.
Since going live at the end of July, the solar array has already made a measurable difference to the company’s energy footprint. The system has generated 38.37 MWh of clean electricity, directly offsetting 38% of SGL’s energy consumption.
The environmental benefits of this achievement are significant. To date, the installation has:
- Saved 7,431 kg of CO₂ emissions
- Provided an environmental impact equivalent to planting over 450 trees
This solar milestone builds on SGL’s wider sustainability plan and initiatives, which are focused on reducing carbon emissions, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the global transition to renewable energy.
