PurSafe Plus® pairs patented Puritan® HydraFlock® flocked swabs with a proprietary transport media for the collection, inactivation, and preservation of human upper respiratory specimens suspected of containing SARS-CoV2.
PurSafe Plus® Collection & Transport System will be offered as a vial of 1 mL of stand-alone media, or paired with one of three HydraFlock® flock-tipped swabs to choose from:
- Enlongated tip HydroFlock® swab
- Mini tip HydraFlock® swab
- Ultrafine tip HydraFlock® swab
HydraFlock® flocked swabs, with their multi-length, split fibers have a greater absorption and elution capability, due to their unique structure which greatly increases surface area.
