Hygiena Partner with Charles River for Celsis® Dairy, Food & Beverage Products
Hygiena™ has entered into a strategic partnership with Charles River Laboratories to market, distribute and support the Celsis® dairy, food and beverage product line. The Celsis Innovate® System, from Wilmington, MA-based Charles River Laboratories, Inc., includes the highly sensitive ATP-based Innovate™ instrument, software and RapiScreen™ reagent kits for microbial screening of dairy, food and beverage products.
The Celsis Innovate® System is the market leading rapid bioburden detection system used by the largest dairy, food and beverage companies producing aseptically filled or extended shelf life beverages and foods. This system provides critical information needed to immediately respond to product contamination, reduce waste, and release product faster.
With the addition of these trusted and convenient test kits, which will continue to be manufactured by Charles River, Hygiena can offer customers a more complete line of products to support their food safety and quality assurance programs. These products complement Hygiena’s ATP and pathogen detection product portfolios and provide the very best value in science-based solutions to help meet the diverse needs of dairy, food and beverage companies.
“We are excited to expand our product offering to include the Innovate™ System and RapiScreen™ assays,” said Steven Nason, Chief Executive Officer of Hygiena. “Celsis and Hygiena share a history of innovation in ATP-based technology for food safety applications, and we are delighted to be adding this product line to our portfolio. With this product line, we will be able to offer a wider range of food safety tests combined with our global technical and customer service.”
“This partnership will help all customers meet the growing needs to preserve and protect the integrity of our food supply,” said, Ian Jester, Corporate V.P. Global Sales of Charles River Laboratories. “We feel this partnership is best for our Dairy, Food & Beverage customers, because of Hygiena’ expertise in food and beverage space and overlap in our customers.”
