instaBAG Half Fraser Makes Selective Enrichment of Listeria Easier

instaBAG is a ready-to-use filter bag which includes dehydrated pre-weighed media, allowing a 2-in-1 process: media preparation and sample preparation for microbiological analyses. Half Fraser broth is used as a medium for primary selective enrichment for the detection and enumeration of Listeria monocytogenes.

Features and Benefits of using instaBag for Listeria:

  • instaBAG is a filter bag which comes with a ready-to-use dehydrated media pouch of supplemented half Fraser broth (validated according to ISO 11133)

  • Avoid the time-consuming media preparation step, just add the sample and sterile, purified water, the blending process will dissolve the media

  • Filtration is done during blending, no need to wait for sedimentation of debris, the filtrate is particle-free ready to pipette - no debris gets on the agar media making it easier to read

  • Filter porosity: <250 µm

  • Compatible with any laboratory blender

Ideal for Listeria analyses
The pre-dosed dehydrated media is supplemented Half Fraser broth. instaBAG Fraser ½ can be used for primary selective enrichment or as a diluent for the detection and enumeration of Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria spp. (ISO 11290-1, ISO 11290-2) in food and environmental samples.

Applications
instaBAG supplemented Fraser ½ is used in the food industry and research institutes. It allows the suspension of solid samples of 25 g diluted at 1/10th for the detection of Listeria monocytogenes. This selective media is already supplemented and ready-to-use. It is validated according to ISO 11133.
