New Method Adoption - A Water Utility Perspective

About the Speakers:
Brett Brewin - Scientific Affairs Manager (EMEA), IDEXX Laboratories
Dr Brett Brewin has been working in the field of microbiology for over three decades and has 25 years' experience in the analysis of water for the presence of waterborne pathogens. He has worked closely with laboratories and experts around the world developing new technologies, training analysts and establishing best practice in order to optimise complex technical procedures and generate robust methodologies.

Chris Seymour - Laboratory Operations Manager, Anglian Water Central Lab
Christopher Seymour, Laboratory Operations Manager of Anglian Water, leads method development, budget management, and technical direction for Life Sciences. During his tenure with Anglian Water, he has played a pivotal role in managing Cryptosporidium incidents under stringent UK regulatory controls.

Christopher also serves as the secretary for the Standing Committee of Analysts (SCA) Biology Working Group, actively participates in the SCA Microbiology Working Group, and contributes to an OFWAT-funded project on AI algae identification, demonstrating his commitment to advancing innovation in the field.
