Mycoplasma, Sterility and Adventitious Virus Detection – Fast Track Testing
In response to our customers’ need for rapid testing results, Charles River is pleased to announce fast track testing for mycoplasma, sterility and adventitious viral assays. The development, manufacture and release of your product to the market depend on you having testing results when you need them. Assays for the detection of viral and mycoplasma contaminants are crucial in determining the safety of your product; however, these tests take up to 28 days in the laboratory and, following that, additional time is added to quoted timelines for results review and report compilation. Charles River is dedicated to working with you to get the results that you need out to you faster.
Upon request, a Charles River site in either the US or Europe will work with you to shorten the standard assay turnaround time while retaining the highest quality standards in delivery of the report. Fast track testing includes the following:
- 28-day mycoplasma and adventitious virus testing reported out to you in 30 days
- 14-day adventitious agent testing and sterility testing reported out to you in 16 days
This service is available for clients as-needed. For clients who want this level of service on a consistent basis, the Charles River testing site will work with you to implement this as a permanent solution for your lot release testing or other large volume project.
It is important to us that your results are released to you when you need them and meet the high quality standards that you expect. Our operations, project management and quality teams work closely with each other to initiate your testing soon after the samples arrive and coordinate rapid report release following testing completion. Our project management staff can also provide preliminary results for the testing at crucial time points during the assay.
