Modular High-Containment Labs Were Made For Pandemics
Germfree has begun deploying its modular high-containment laboratories to facilitate COVID-19 research. These turn-key laboratories can be made to a biosafety-level 3, which is required when testing and culturing viruses.
The mobile and modular bio-containment units deliver critical laboratory capacity in the US and throughout the world, from resource-challenged regions to modern cities. Germfree is the only manufacturer that provides a single-source, OEM solution for both the laboratory and all critical containment equipment.
Germfree recently built one of its high-containment labs at the Duke NUS in Singapore, which is at the forefront of COVID-19 research. They also quickly deployed one of their laboratories to the Middle East to deal with MERS, which was very similar to the current pandemic virus.
Germfree has over a hundred laboratory installations, which are designed to operate in harsh conditions and remain sustainable in remote regions of the world.
