MBV Presents the New MAS-100 Atmos Microbial Sampler for Compressed Gases Setting New Standards

MBV is launching the pioneering MAS-100 Atmos compressed gas sampler. It gently collects microorganisms in compressed gases and is used in particular in the pharmaceutical industry, in hospitals as well as in the food and cosmetics sectors. The novel MAS-100 Atmos integrates unparalleled ease of use with comprehensive security while supporting 21 CFR Part 11 compliant workflows with a wide range of features. This unique combination makes the MAS-100 Atmos an indispensable microbial sampler for a wide range of applications.

The MAS-100 Atmos replaces MBV AG's predecessor model, the MAS 100 CG Ex. The smart compressed gas sampler was developed in close cooperation with users as well as Merck KGaA, an expert in the field of life sciences as well a long-standing distribution partner of MBV AG. The high quality of the new instrument is the result of this intensive cooperation as well as 35 years of experience in the field of air sampling paired with great passion for microbial monitoring.

Ease of use is a top priority for the MAS-100 Atmos. A handy design made of lightweight materials, an intuitive touchscreen with graphical user guidance as well as easy operation of the sampling head characterize the MAS-100 Atmos. During sampling, the gas flow is automatically regulated. Decompression after measurement is just as fully automatic and simple.

The world of compressed gas sampling is diverse. So is the application on-site. Microbial samplers must be able to adapt. MAS-100 Atmos is ready for this and can be flexibly integrated into a wide range of workflows. Data management is transparent, and every workflow can be cleanly documented at any time thanks to a tamper-proof audit trail. Optionally, the relevant data can also be passed directly to a LIMS or EM software by using the sampling barcode. This digitized process ensures error-free data transmission. Furthermore, optional configurations support a 21 CFR Part 11 compliant workflow. This includes, for example, the integrated compliant user management for reliable tracking of all user activities.

In terms of safety, the MAS-100 Atmos impresses with a number of smart features. On the one hand, a HEPA 13 (ISO 35H) safety filter protects the inside of the instrument and prevents the escape of particle-laden gases. On the other hand, an optionally connectable tub-ing ensures the safe removal of the test gases and thus additional work safety. In addition, a mechanical safety lock on the sampling head ensures that the germ collector is securely locked during the sampling and provides additional safety for people and the environment.
