The Korean Society for Food Hygiene and Safety (KoSFoS), a partner of the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP), will organize the 6th Asia-Pacific Symposium on Food Safety 2021 in Jeju with the support of IAFP members and affiliates from across the globe. As IAFP’s regional conference series, the conference in Jeju will serve as a platform to discuss the latest trends and issues regarding food safety across the Asia-Pacific region.
Food safety professionals from all sectors, including the government, food industry, and academia, will join this conference. They will discuss the current scientific and technical issues that impact the safety of the food supply chain.
Specifically, this year, the effects of COVID-19 on the food sector and food safety will be addressed at the conference. The topics for discussion include innovation of food safety, capacity building for APAC, public health awareness, IT-BT applications to food safety, harmonization of food safety policies and standards, promoting food safety culture, risk management, and best practices in food safety management, among many other topics.
