Honeyman Group Expands Production of Revolutionary High Purity Water Systems

Pharmaceutical water specialists, Honeyman Group, expand manufacturing facilities in the North East committing to a £1 million investment over 3 years.

The company is building on its success with last year’s Queen’s Award for Innovation, having seen the order portfolio grow significantly for its high purity water systems.

Tom Honeyman, Managing Director said: “These are exciting times for our business as demand for our pharmaceutical water systems increases.”  The company’s PureGienic pure water generation systems and HydroGienic storage and distribution systems have gained recognition in the market place for being able to meet the ever-changing demands of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. Typically clients require flexibility, for systems to be adaptable to meet changing production requirements and rapid deployment, without the typical high operational costs that are typically associated with system modifications.

The Honeyman Group’s modular systems, customisable through instrumentation, are ideal for loop extensions, rapid deployment of new facilities or upgrade replacements.  They are designed and manufactured here in the North East and shipped globally.

“This investment and growth is giving us a unique opportunity to strengthen our position in the market. The new facility will allow us to reduce our lead-times and increase flexibility for the benefit of our clients,” Honeyman Operations Director John Backes said of the latest developments.

The investment is creating new production and engineering-related jobs. along with positive benefits for the company’s chemistry and microbiology laboratories, associated water sample testing and validation.
