Veterinary Microbiology is concerned with bacterial diseases of domesticated vertebrate animals that supply food or companionship. Among the current critical challenges, veterinarians face is the need to obtain secure species differentiation of organisms in complex matrices (like milk from Mastitis cases) in a timely manner.

To assist Veterinarians for a more precise Mastitis diagnosis, CHROMagar™ has developed three chromogenic formulations, which can conveniently be used in a tri-plate. Each of these three formulations addresses, with a very high level of differentiation, three important groups of bacteria found in the Mastitis infections: Gram-negative bacteria, Staphylococci, and Streptococci.
