Powerful Solution for the Enumeration of Butyric Acid Producing Clostridia (BAPC)

AmpMedia 666 Features:

  • Chromogenic detection principle: A chromogenic substrate is used, which indicates the growth of BAPC by a colour change from red to yellow.
  • Selectivity: Specific inhibitors prevent the competitive microflora from growing, thus ensuring selective detection of the cheese-spoiled clostridia (Specificity for BAPC > 95%).
  • Low limit of quantification: Using a deepwell microplate MPN format detection levels of < 14 spores/liter can be easily achieved.
  • Analysis Time: The use of the new media delivers results in as little as 48 hours and is therefore up to 5 days faster than traditional methods.
  • Automation: Due to the possibility of automatic evaluation via the colour change and result calculation, automation of the test procedures is simplified.
  • Minimum waste: The use of a microplate MPN format can reduce laboratory waste by > 70%
