PCR Kit Manufacturers - Reduce your False Positives with Pharmozyme's Crystal Taq™
Pharmozyme's commercially available, Crystal Taq™ is the world's first Taq Polymerase enzyme free from bacterial and animal DNA contamination.
Almost all existing enzymes are made in E.coli or mammalian hosts and thus contain background contamination. However, Pharmozyme's breakthrough production process renders zero bacterial and mammalian DNA contamination of the reagent. Existing customers include clinical diagnostics PCR kit manufacturers, and Food & Water testing PCR kit makers. A multi-national customer of Crystal Taq™ has confirmed "it has reduced all PCR background DNA contamination by 80%, suggesting that most comes from Taq." Crystal Taq™ is guaranteed background DNA contamination free, which helps Pharmozyme's customers win market share and make their existing customers save time, and reduce costs with improved test accuracy.
The next generation of DNA testing for bloodstream pathogens and microbiome analysis is fast and relatively inexpensive, with millions of tests being conducted worldwide every day. However, the enzymes in the kits produced by manufacturers often suffer from background DNA contamination causing false results and jeopardizing lives. Validated by reference labs and industry experts, leveraging more than 100 years of combined experience in biotech, our team has developed the most pure, stable enzymes in the diagnostics market. Significantly reducing misdiagnosis, abating financial burden on providers and patients.
100 Cycle Certification
The enzyme does not show any nonspecific endo- or exo-nuclease activities. The result of 16S assay on our Crystal Taq™ DNA polymerase showed no bacterial DNA contamination after 100 PCR cycles.
- Gene Amplification (PCR) and Sequencing
- Pyrosequencing and Sanger Sequencing
Crystal Taq™ DNA Polymerase is from Thermus aquaticus. It is a thermostable enzyme with 5’-3’ DNA polymerase activity and 5'-3’ exonuclease activity, while lacking 3’-5’ exonuclease (proofreading) activity. The enzyme is free from bacterial and animal DNA. This first truly pure enzyme will greatly aid new generations of sequencing technologies, while being a superior component to pathogen testing in Clinical Medicine, Food-Borne contamination, Quality Assurance, Forensics, Water Treatment, Veterinary & Agriculture and Bioterrorism.
