Fast, Easy Detection of Beer and Wine Spoilage Organisms
Join Julien Pastor and Ben Pascal, Invisible Sentinel - a bioMerieux company, where they share a beer and discuss the how molecular based test kits are being used in the alcoholic beverage industry to detect hop-resistant Pediococcus and Lactobacillus, wild yeasts like Brettanomyces bruxellensis or Dekkera plus new targets like Saccaromyces diastaticus. The test kits are easy to use and interpret and can be run by anyone after only a few hours training with results within 3 hours.
