RAPID'E.coli 2 agar for the detection and enumeration of E.coli / coliforms and RAPID'P.aeruginosa for the detection and enumeration of Pseudomonas aeruginosa are cultural methods that allow users to detect and enumerate the strains of interest from drinking water in less than 22 hr without the need for confirmation.  In addition, the quality control laboratory of the Bio-Rad manufacturing plant based in Steenvoorde, France, is accredited ISO 17025 by Cofrac for food and water microbiology testing products, giving users confidence in the control of these products.


IQ-Check Legionella solution is the first and only Legionella PCR method validated by a third party (NF validation according to ISO/TS 12869 and NF T90-471) that includes management of free DNA in the sample for all types of water and the use of CFX Opus Real-Time PCR Systems. Bio-Rad also provides a complete range of products for the detection and quantification of Legionella. Products comply with regulatory standards and allow for risk management based on accurate and rapid results. 

New methods for water analysis are often included in the standard reference method. In some countries where local regulations are permitted, alternative methods can be used for regulatory analysis.
