Automated Microbial Source Tracking for Food Industry
Using dry film FTIR spectroscopy, FUST is a fully automated, high throughput and cost effective technique for monitoring and trouble shooting microbial contamination in the food industry. Developed as an EU project to identify and source track fungal contamination in the production of fruit juice. The system is able to identify the strain of mould to species level as well as precisely where and when it entered the juice production line.
