Easier Media Preparation Using Oxoid Dry-Bags, Now Available from Remel Inc.

Oxoid Dry-Bags, Easy Media Prep

Remel is pleased to announce the United States availability of new Dry-Bags from Oxoid. Dry-Bags greatly reduce the time, labor, and materials involved in preparing large volumes of media for microbiology testing in the food industry. Pre-weighed, sterile dehydrated media are supplied in lightweight transparent plastic bags. Just add water, and the medium is ready to use.

Oxoid Dry-Bags completely eliminate the need for glassware, improving safety and removing the need for washing and sterilization. Water is simply added through the attached 0.2 micron filter, and the bag is ready to use in minutes. Each bag makes 20 liters of medium, sufficient for 88 aliquots of 225 mL, which is easily dispensed through the outlet tube. When empty, the bag can be disposed of with normal laboratory waste.

Oxoid Dry-Bags are supplied in compact boxes of 10 bags, which are lightweight and easy to transport, providing ultimate convenience in the laboratory. Dry-Bags are stored at room temperature and take up much less space than fully-prepared media or media preparation facilities.

Order Oxoid Dry-Bags from Remel Inc. (Lenexa, KS), a global provider of a wide range of high quality microbiology products used by clinical, industrial, research, and academic laboratories.

Remel is committed to providing excellent technical and customer support, and convenient next-day delivery.
