IVD-D Compliant Pipetting Platform for Clinical Diagnostic Laboratories

Tecan Europe has announced the introduction of Freedom EVO Clinical® - a new series of flexible automated liquid handling solutions for clinical diagnostic laboratories.

Freedom EVO Clinical is an open platform providing scalable automation, high performance and quality as required by many applications in clinical diagnostics.

Available in a choice of deck sizes (100, 150 and 200cm, and soon 75cm) the Freedom EVO Clinical has been designed to optimally meet different user requirements but still maintain a consistent look and feel.

The flexibility of the Freedom EVO Clinical supports applications ranging from fully automated ELISA sample processing, blood typing and blood pooling up to sample distribution and molecular diagnostic testing. Carriers, racks, detection devices and washers may be easily integrated to provide the optimal configuration.

The Freedom EVO Clinical platform was designed for compliance with worldwide regulatory requirements including the In-Vitro Diagnostics Directive 98/79/EC. Freedom EVO Clinical provides a series of features to support patient and user safety. Large and lockable front shields are standard. A continuous loading option allows the exchange of racks and plate carriers during operation. The attached loading interface monitors all steps for the user.
