New Workstation for Precise Oxygen Control
go back to news archives
The spacious new workstation allows cells to be manipulated in situ without altering the incubation environment, enabling researchers to replicate conditions comparable to those found in vivo. Oxygen concentrations can be accurately controlled in 0.1% increments from 0.1% up to 20% and carbon dioxide in 0.1% increments from 0.1% to 15%. Along with precise gas control, temperature and humidity levels can also be regulated using the intuitive touch screen interface. Constructed from annealed acrylic for low gas permeability, the Whitley HA500 has an integrated airlock that uses atmospheric flushing to allow efficient and convenient transfer of culture flasks, Petri dishes and plates, without compromising the chamber environment. The workstation also features ergonomically designed and patented portholes that allow both gloved and bare-hand working. The Whitley HA500 represents over 30 years' experience in workstation design and manufacture, establishing Don Whitley Scientific as a world leader in modified atmosphere technology. A team of UK based service engineers and network of international distributors provide back-up and support to ensure complete customer satisfaction. |
