Webinar Series: Quality Assurance for Quantitative Microbiological Test Methods

Please Note : This is an old event click here to know more about organizer

: 20 Oct 2020 - 22 Oct 2020

Sector: Food & Beverage, Microbiome

Type: Training, Webinar

Webinar participants learn how to validate and verify quantitative test methods according to ISO 16140 and how to evaluate measurement uncertainty according to ISO 19036. In this way, participants acquire indispensable skills for meeting the requirements of the new ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

The ISO 16140 series provides modern designs and approaches for validation and verification, which take into account the unique challenges of microbiological testing. The ISO 19036 standard for the determination of measurement uncertainty is closely related to ISO 16140.

This webinar series combines theory and practice and discusses real examples. The speakers will provide key insights to help plan, implement, and evaluate studies and interpret results.

Join this three-day webinar series to acquire indispensable skills to help you meet the requirements of the new ISO / IEC 17025: 2018

Participants can join the webinar on one day, two days, or all three days.

Day 1, 20 October  - Examples and exercises - Verification of quantitative microbiological test methods

Day 2, 21 October  - Evaluation of the measurement uncertainty of quantitative microbiological test results

Day 3, 22 October  - In-house validation of quantitative microbiological test methods

Target audience

The webinar series is intended for managers and staff of private and public testing laboratories in food microbiology, as well as of research institutions using quantitative microbiological testing methods such as:

  • classical methods (e.g. plating methods)
  • immunological methods (e.g. ELISA)
  • molecular biological methods (e.g. PCR, LAMP)

The webinars are also relevant for interested scientists from the fields of environmental and agricultural sciences.
