Esco cULus Listings Assure Product Safety

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is an independent, not-for-profit product-safety testing and certification organization. Founded in 1894, UL is now one of the most recognized conformity assessment providers in the world.

In 2006, following an on-site assessment under the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Witness Test Data Program, the Esco Electrical Testing and Research Laboratory Facility was certified to perform tests under the following standards: UL 61010A-1, UL 61010-1 and CAN/CSA C22.2 no 61010-1.

The 61010-1 family of standards covers electrical safety requirements for laboratory and control equipment in North America, Europe and Asia.

Internalizing electrical safety test capabilities reinforces Esco's commitment to excellence and product engineering, and assures our customers that we have one of the best equipped research & development teams in the world developing the safest laboratory equipment possible.

cULus listing means that Esco products have been subject to a complete battery of electrical and mechanical safety tests, and that product quality is regularly monitored by UL to meet their stringent independent standards.

Today, the following Esco products are cULus listed:
  • Labculture Class II Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinets (LA2-3,4,5,6)

  • Labculture Reliant Class II Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinets (LR2-4,6)

  • Labculture Class II Type B2 Biological Safety Cabinets (LB2-3,4,5,6)

  • VIVA Universal Animal Containment Workstations (VA2-4,6)

  • VIVA Dual Access Animal Containment Workstations (VDA-4)

  • Airstream Horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinets (AHS-3B,4B,5B,6B, AHC-2B,3B,4B,5B,6B)
