Currently an approved BRC consultant, Ulrich graduated in food science & technology and has worked for many years as quality manager in the food industry. Since 2008 Ulrich runs his own business (QS-Development) offering consultancy, training and audits. This includes, for example, the development and implementation of complete and effective quality and food safety management systems including training of operators and coaching of managers. Ulrich has worked for nine years as BRC lead auditor across several categories and conducts BRC certification audits as well as independent audits on behalf of German and U.K. retail clients.
Gareth Lang has worked in the field of ATP surface hygiene for 16 years and is currently part of the European professional service team providing technical support to 3M Food Safety customers.
Initially working with the Public health laboratory service in the Mycobacterium reference unit in Cardiff, Gareth moved to an analyst role in the brewing analytical and microbiology laboratory prior to a QA laboratory management position with Bass Brewers in Cardiff. Here he introduced the Biotrace ATP hygiene management system, one of the first sites in the U.K. to introduce the use of rapid hygiene monitoring systems in the brewing sector.
