VITAL 4.0 in Practice - Webinar

VITAL 4.0 was updated in line with FAO/WHO 2022 reference doses and is now widely cited - but documented examples of how manufacturers actually implement it in practice remain limited.

The session presents two such implementations:

  • Altes Gewürzamt, a German premium spice manufacturer working with 100+ recipes and six controlled allergens
  • A global FMCG manufacturer managing allergen risk across sauces, soups, ice cream, plant-based foods, and supplements.

It focuses on where data collection proved more complex than the calculation itself, and how assumptions around portion size and testing influenced labelling decisions.
