Testing Meat for SalmonellaListeria, STEC, Campylobacter & Animal ID

This workshop focuses specifically on food safety in the meat sector. You will learn more about Biotecon solutions for the detection of pathogens like Salmonella, Listeria, STEC and Campylobacter in raw and processed products using molecular biological methods. A further issue will be animal species testing for the quality control, especially the detection of potential contamination in processed and convenience food, and in vegetarian products or food according to religious dietary guidelines. The workshop offers lectures and also includes hands-on training of DNA extraction and real-time PCR setup, data analysis and interpretation.
