Microgen listeria id to be included in m amp s microbiological methods manual
| Microgen Bioproducts has received confirmation that the AOAC approved and CMMAS evaluated and approved Microgen Listeria-ID (MID-67), will be included in the updated Marks and Spencer Microbiological Methods Manual this summer, meaning the test can be used for the testing of Marks and Spencer products. |
Microgen Listeria-ID is a miniaturised biochemical test system compromising Aesculin hydrolysis, 10 sugar fermentation tests and a highly sensitive and accurate micro haemolysis reaction, replacing the conventional CAMP test required for the differentiation of important pathogenic species of Listeria from non-pathogenic species.
The use of the Microgen Listeria-ID eliminates the need to sub-culture from selective media and the need for a separate haemolysis plate saving 24 hours on conventional methods.
As with all of the Microgen ID range, the conjunction of the Microgen Identification System Software, provides laboratories with the easiest-to-use and most accurate identification package.
