Complete Inactivation of High Risk Material

Fedegari HPS autoclave

The Italian companies International pbi and Fedegari present a new autoclave to inactivate pathogenic germs in contaminated material.

The Fedegari autoclave model HPS works at a temperature of 140 °C (4,7 bars) to reach a complete inactivation of high risk material, such as prions.

The HPS autoclave has been developed to avoid the release of contaminated air and condensed aerosol. The air is trapped inside the sterilisation vessel until the complete sterilisation has been completed. The biohazard risk for the operator and the environment is therefore eliminated.
