Geniul PhAST System used for Detection of Viable Protozoa by PCR

Geniul PhAST system has been used for the detection of viable protozoa (infective) by PCR.

In the Annual ASM meeting 2011, researchers from the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia, showed their results with Cryptosporidium oocysts detection in environmental samples.

Additionally, researchers from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, published the first procedure for Discrimination of Viable Acanthamoeba castellani Trophozoites and Cysts, in the Journal of Eukariotyc Microbiology.

Previously PhAST system has been used for detection of infective bacteria and virus by PCR.
