Recently published in the The Lancet Infectious Diseases is a review of commonly used commercial assays for detection of
C difficile toxin A and B in stool samples.
Comparing results with cell culture with or without selective culture for
C difficile, the kits evaluated were Meridian Premier, TechLab Tox A/B II, TechLab Tox A/B Quik Chek, Remel Xpect, Meridian Immunocard and BioMérieux VIDAS.
