SwabSURE ListeriaP is an easy to use colour-change testing system for presumptive detection of pathogenic Listeria from food contact and environmental surfaces.

ListeriaP permits easy differentiation between pathogenic Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria ivanovii from other background microorganisms. The ready to use kit includes a foam swab, pre-moistened with neutralising buffer and a vial with selective media with its chromogenic substrate to reliably detect Listeria monocytogenes down to 1 CFU by changing colour from straw yellow to turquoise blue within 24 to 48 hours.

End users can easily reach into awkward areas with the 15cm swab and then conveniently snap its breakpoint into the tube, so the structure of the foam tip releases the maximum sample, ensuring optimal recovery of target cells. Pre-moistened with Technical Service Consultants specially developed neutralising buffer, any disinfectant residues left on contact surfaces are inactivated, enhancing cell recovery, ensuring accurate and confident results every time.

During incubation the obvious visual change reduces unnecessary and costly sub-culturing and further identification tests as well as eliminating false positives, a common problem with other traditional methods.
