Hygiena has acquired DuPont Diagnostics, the global food safety diagnostics business of DuPont. Including the BAX® System, RiboPrinter® System, Lateral Flow System, StatMedia™ and Dehydrated Culture Media. Visit www.hygiena.com/bax.html

DuPont Diagnostics, a DuPont Nutrition & Health business, has introduced the newest addition to its award-winning BAX® System family. The BAX® System X5 instrument and accessories, including the automated DuPont™ Thermal Block for sample preparation, offer fast, accurate and easy-to-use pathogen detection in a smaller format for greater testing flexibility.

Handling up to 32 samples at once, the BAX® System X5 provides advanced, genetics-based PCR technology in a compact footprint. Food companies, contract testing laboratories and government agencies will find it indispensable for performing reliable, accurate pathogen testing that suits their testing volume, laboratory space and financial requirements.

The BAX® System X5 is validated by the AOAC Research Institute for testing a variety of food and environmental samples for Salmonella, Listeria species and L. monocytogenes. The platform is also AFNOR-validated for the detection of E. coli O157:H7 and Salmonella. Further validation studies are in progress.

For 20 years, food companies around the world have relied on the award-winning DuPont™ BAX® System for pathogen detection. As part of your quality control system, the automated DNA-based test provides rapid results to help you make product release decisions with confidence, protecting your company and your brand.
