Application Note: Rapid Detection of Pseudomonas Species in Water
MOCON Inc. has released a new application note that covers the rapid detection of Pseudomonas species in water. The study outlined in the note features the revolutionary GreenLight® system, an oxygen-depletion technology for detecting and enumerating aerobic bacteria.
Commercially available Pseudomonas selective broths were compared on the system, in conjunction with a membrane filtration method. The note demonstrates improvements in time-to-result, sensitivity and ease-of-use over the current ISO method. The GreenLight method is equally applicable to process and drinking water and can be an effective screening tool to augment total viable count (TVC) tests.
