Technical Service Consultants [TSC] have successfully launched a brand new Boot Swab product for the environmental monitoring of Salmonella in Poultry flocks

TSC have worked closely with Contract Laboratories and end-users to manufacture a range of four different Salmonella Boot swab kits containing both 2 and 5 pairs of Boot swabs. Additional consumables such as plastic overboots, gloves and sample bags may be required by the end users dependent upon the sampling procedure adopted. All Boot swab kits are dosed with a recommended diluent.

The Boot swab concept of sampling is an effective environmental method being much more sensitive in the detection of Salmonella than the old traditional Drag swab method of testing. Boot swab kits have been designed so that they are easy to use in application together with cost effectiveness of the product. The make up of the kits complies with recommendations for sampling methods laid down by European and UK legislations and regulatory documents for the control of salmonella in Poultry.
