International Quantitative Bacterial Reference Material for ISO Labs
The National Testing and Accreditation Association (NATA) in Australia have endorsed the BioBall product range under the ISO Guide 34 standard. This makes BioBall the first international quantitative Reference Material available for microbiological testing in the world, and heralds a new era in the standardisation of bacterial testing. Now that BioBall products are Guide 34 accredited, ISO accredited laboratories can use these products to significantly simplify their quality control procedures. The BioBall product contains a precise number of bacteria in a water-soluble ball delivering unprecedented accuracy in Quantitative Microbiological Quality Control. BioBall products contain a mean of 28-33 cfu with a standard deviation of less than 3 in a variety of bacterial strains. BTF has previously secured ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. This accreditation demonstrates that the laboratory procedures used to ensure the quality and precision of it's BioBall product range meet the same strict standards as those employed in BTF's customers' labs. |
