The free Food Microbiology Seminar has previously been described as “covering interesting and wide ranging topics,” and “maintaining interest through-out.”

- validation of laboratory methods to ISO 16140;
- validation of the DuPont Qualicon BAX® Listeria method;
- assessment of risk from livestock pathogens in the food chain;
- an update on developments in microbiological criteria, Regulation 2073/2005;
- and the Commission of the European Community's supporting guidance on conduct of shelf-life studies to evaluate compliance with Listeria monocytogenes criteria for ready-to-eat foods able to support growth.
