Oxoid Infection Control Seminar on C.difficile and Other HAI - Free Places Still Available
 | There are still a few places available at the forthcoming Oxoid Infection Control Seminar. This popular event is being held on Tuesday 13 May 2008 at the Walton Hall and Hotel, Wellesbourne, Warwickshire. This is the fifth year that Oxoid has hosted its popular Infection Control Seminar. The Seminar is free to attend, but places do need to be booked in advance. | The full day´s agenda includes: - Acinetobacter - old friend or new foe: Dr Kevin Towner, Nottingham´s Queen´s Medical Centre
- Turning the tide on healthcare associated infection: Dr Mike Cooper, Royal Wolverhampton Hospital NHS Trust

- A vaccine for the management of C. difficile-associated disease (CDAD): Dr Paul Giannasca, Vice President for Development, Acambis
- Changing Prescribing Habits: Prof Alasdair MacGowan, North Bristol NHS Trust
- Reducing HCAI rates in the NHS: Prof Brian Duerden, Cardiff University, and Inspector of Microbiology and Infection Control at the Department of Health.
