Convenient and Reliable QC Organisms for the Pharmaceutical Industry

Quanti-Cult and Quanti-Cult Plus

Microbiology specialist Oxoid offers a comprehensive range of ready-to-use quality control micro-organisms. These are ideal for use in pharmaceutical applications, such as bacteriostasis and fungistasis testing, microbial limit testing, bioburden testing, growth promotion testing and method validation. Quanti-Cult® and Quanti-Cult Plus® are safe and convenient to use, delivering consistent counts of less than 100 colony-forming units (CFU).1

Quanti-Cult and Quanti-Cult Plus save time and resources in the laboratory. A film of preserved organisms is located in the cap of each plastic vial. After a 10 minute rehydration step they are ready to use immediately, eliminating the need for a growth period or serial dilutions. Quanti-Cult contains a single inoculum of less than 100 CFU in 0.3ml, whereas Quanti-Cult Plus delivers less than 100 CFU in 10 inocula of 0.1ml. These highly stable suspensions offer excellent recovery and reproducibility, whilst the absence of sharps ensures the safety of laboratory staff.

Customers can be assured that Quanti-Cult and Quanti-Cult Plus organisms are all within 2 passages from the reference culture and each pack includes a lot specific Certificate of Quality and transfer labels to accommodate QC/QA requirements.

Prior to rehydration, the vials can be stored until their expiry date allowing relevant organisms to be at hand without the need for stock culture maintenance.

A wide range of micro-organisms required by the pharmaceutical industry is available. For further information, please contact Oxoid Limited using the contact details at the top of this page.
