| Aircheck plates for environmental monitoring
An extensive range of irradiated, triple wrapped plates (shrink wrapped, vacuum packed, then heavyweight flow wrapped), specifically designed for environmental monitoring of clean rooms and isolators. The range also includes irradiated, triple wrapped plates with VHP impervious wrapping for use in isolators where VHP sterilization is standard.
When sampling surfaces that have been sanitized using disinfectants, a range of media are available that include factors to neutralise any residual antibacterial substances on the surface allowing for a true representation of any microbial contamination that may be present.
Standard sizes include 90mm plates and 55mm contact plates. Contact plates are manufactured using 'grip lids' to prevent accidental exposure and ensure the integrity of the plate during storage and subsequent manipulations. These plates will also fit into the majority of air sampling devices currently available for clean room analysis.
Infusion bottles for sterility testing
Using either flip-off or flip-tear lids and rubber septa, a variety of media in different fill sizes and bottle volumes are available in the DIN/infusion bottle format for the sterility testing of pharmaceutical preparations. Additionally products are also available in bottles using perforated, screw capped lids (again with rubber septa) to meet specific customer requirements.
Ready prepared media
Southern Group Laboratory manufactures an extensive range of media which are available in a variety of plate (contact, 55mm, 90mm and 140mm as standard) and bottle (bijou, universal, syrup, honey, Duran and Winchester as standard) formats, this includes both general purpose growth media, chromogenic media and selective media for the isolation of pathogenic organisms.
