Alaska Hosts UK Assoc. of Microbiologists Meeting at Porton Down
Alaska Food Diagnostics, manufacturers of the world's fastest detection method for Salmonella, E.Coli 0157 and Listeria, is to host the 38th meeting of the UK Association of Microbiologists (UKAMA) at its Porton Down headquarters. The session, which will take place on Thursday 4th May 2006, will be chaired by UKAMA's Chris Bell and hosted by Dr Pradip Patel, Alaska's Head of Microbiology R&D. Highlights will include presentations from a number of leading players in UKAMA including Keith Watkins, Mike Scott, Cliff Shone and Melody Greenwood. Dr Patel will also provide an update on the latest product developments at Alaska Food Diagnostics, including the launch of the fastrAK detection method, capable of identifying extremely low levels of Salmonella, and the planned tests for E.Coli 0157 and Listeria which are already in a late stage of development.
