VIT- Alicyclobacillus for Rapid Detection of Trace Contaminations

Using VIT- Alicyclobacillus, trace contaminations of Alicyclobacillus can be revealed quickly and reliably in raw materials, concentrates, flavourings, juices and drink-mixtures. Consequently, specific counteractive measures can be taken at an early stage.

The basis of the test is vermicon identification technology (VIT), the reliable gene probe technology. Precise detection relies on the genetic material of the bacteria, which over billions of years, has acquired distinctive signatures. Gene probes have been specially programmed to match these signatures. They penetrate the bacteria and illuminate then. In this way Alicyclobacillus and Alicyclobacillus acidoterrestris can be clearly detected and made visible.

The test is in the form of a practical detection kit and is very simple and quick to perform. Detection takes place directly in the pre-cultivated sample. Unequivocal and revealing results of the VIT-analysis are available within just 3 hours.

A look into the microscope will let you know immediately whether the bacteria are present in your sample: bacteria of the genus Alicyclobacillus light up green, Alicyclobacillus acidoterrestris lights up in both green and red.

Implement this test as a part of your analysis and the threat of Alicyclobacillus will become an issue of the past!
