NordVal approval for RAPID' L. mono Listeria Agar, without confirmation
RAPID' L .mono (Bio-Rad Laboratories) is a chromogenic agar medium, allowing the 24-48 hr detection and enumeration of Listeria monocytogenes in food and environmental samples. In addition to its AFNOR and AOAC approval, this rapid culture medium test has recently been approved by NordVal (ref nr. 2003-20-5408-00024).
NordVal has concluded that it has been satisfactorily demonstrated that the requirements of the NordVal validation protocol are fulfilled documenting the equal performance of RAPID' L. mono agar, without further confirmation, and the reference method ISO 11290-1 for all food matrices and environmental samples.
