VWR Acquire European Calibration and Service Company

VWR International, Inc. have bought Technical Service Lab BV (TSL), a Boxmeer, Holland-based laboratory instrument calibration and validation services provider to The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France. The acquisition expands VWR's calibration service capabilities and expertise in the European marketplace.

TSL is a multi-disciplinary technical service provider founded in 1993, specializing in pipettors, balances and other laboratory instruments. The firm has wide experience in instrument calibration, qualification, validation, repair and maintenance. TSL has 42 employees and annual sales of over EUR two million. The firm calibrates over 50,000 pipettors a year. In addition to the Netherlands headquarters, TSL maintains a sales office in Belgium.

TSL was a service partner of VWR for several years prior to the acquisition. With the acquisition, the company will become VWR's calibration service center for The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France. The company will operate under the name, TSL, a VWR Company.
