Is your PCR contaminated?

PCR preparation cabinet

Labcaire systems have recently introduced a new model to complete their line-up of laminar-flow PCR preparation cabinets which assist operators in producing contamination-free PCR samples

The original model, the PCR6, has sold almost 1000 units since its introduction in 1997 but with operator protection, as well as sample protection now an important factor, Labcaire offer the new PCR8 in addition to the PCR6.

The PCR8 has all the attributes of its brother such, as automatically timed UV light for sterilizing the work area, pipettes and flasks etc., removable stainless steel worksurface and better than class 100 clean air, however the primary feature of the latest addition is that of operator protection to BS EN12469:2000.

Borrowing the technology utilized in Labcaire's Class II microbiological safety cabinets, and using it to provide the same levels of operator protection, enable Labcaire to offer the PCR8 without the expense of installing a full Class II unit.

Both PCR cabinets are extremely easy to install, ultra quiet in operation and compact in design and take up no more room than that usually used for PCR work making them a perfect addition to any site carrying out PCR work.

Labcaire Systems are based in Clevedon, North Somerset, UK and are leading suppliers of Endoscope Washer Disinfectors, Filtration Fume Cupboards, Laminar Flow Cabinets, Microbiological Safety Cabinets and Downflow Benches.
