New Generation Media Preparation Makes 1000 Plates per Hour

INTEGRA Biosciences, market leader for laboratory equipment used in the sterilisation of microbiological media and production of agar plates, chose the recent ASM 2005 (American Society for Microbiology) meeting in Atlanta, USA to preview its new petri dish filler unit.

Visitors to booth 1214 responded enthusiastically to the new MEDIAJET petri dish filler that together with the MEDIACLAVE media steriliser enable the convenient and cost effective preparation of 500 standard sized agar plates in less than 2.5 hours.

Due for official launch later this year the new product updates and expands the capabilities of laboratories involved with the sterilisation of microbiological media and production of agar plates. Currently INTEGRA Biosciences has over 2000 units actively working in laboratories and production lines worldwide.

Apart from the evident benefits of market leading productivity, positive feedback was received on the user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI), the intuitive software and the quality of the instruments construction.

The MEDIAJET is a true 'hands-free' petri dish filler that delivers precise high-throughput automated operation (up to 1000 agar plates per hour) to enhance the productivity of your laboratory. The MEDIACLAVE is a highly safe and economical system for preparation of media from 1 to 10 litres. The MEDIACLAVE offers complete control and recording of all process parameters to guarantee a consistent validatable record.
