Automated MicroScan and Sensititre AST & ID Panel Reading

The BIOMIC V3 Microbiology System now automates the reading and interpretation of MicroScan (Siemens) and Sensititre (TREK) AST* and ID panels. This greatly improves testing accuracy, speed, and standardization compared to manual reading. All panel images are displayed on-screen in high resolution and may be saved for future review. Individual well reactions may be adjusted on BIOMIC V3's touch screen monitor.

BIOMIC V3's digital imaging also automates the reading of Kirby Bauers following current CLSI guidelines and Etests (bioMerieux). Additional features include reading API (bioMerieux), RapID (Remel), Crystal (BD), chromogenic agar and colony count test plates. Bar code reading and a bi-directional LIS interface further speeds testing workflow. BIOMIC V3 serves as a primary or secondary AST-ID system for clinical microbiology laboratories.
