Summary
3M completed its acquisition of Biotrace International PLC, a manufacturer and supplier of industrial microbiology products used in food processing safety, health care, industrial hygiene and defence applications in November 2006.
The established 3M™ Petrifilm™ count plates product line, 3M™ Clean-Trace™ hygiene monitoring products, 3M™ Tecra™ pathogen tests for organisms including Listeria and Salmonella, ATP-based milk sterility tests, together with a range of laboratory products are designed to improve efficiency and compliance with stringent food safety standards.
Following the Department of Health' s Rapid Review Panel Level 1 recommendation, the 3M Clean-Trace hygiene monitoring system is now available for use in monitoring levels of cleanliness in hospital environments.
