MedMira Continues Sales Growth in China

MedMira Inc. have received a second order for 100,000 MiraWell™ Rapid HIV Tests from its leading distributor in China. This distributor has already sold the initial shipment of 100,000 tests. Based on the market’s acceptance and demand for such "a high-quality Canadian product", the China distributor is increasing its annual commitment by 15% to 1.5 Million units.

Increasingly over recent months, the Chinese Ministry of Health has been taking action in controlling the spread of HIV by increasing funding to healthcare nationally. The government has committed substantially to HIV testing and education, including the establishment of an AIDS research centre in Shanghai and free HIV testing for the poor.

MedMira’s MiraWell™ Rapid HIV Test will play a crucial role in the prevention aspect throughout urban and rural communities where the test can be easily and quickly administered and patient care can begin immediately.

MedMira is represented in China by two distributors providing coverage to 39% of the geographical area of the country for its market-leading 3-minute MiraWell™ Rapid HIV Test. Annual minimum commitments from the two distributors now stand at 2.5 Million tests.
